Have got word of my interview for
Administrative Officer (Information Technology) in Revenue.
The format of it goes like this...

Interview : 9.00
Presentation Preparation: 10.20 – 11.10
Presentation: 11.30 – 12.15

has anyone gone through a similar interview for the civil service? any idea if the presentation will be in powerpoint?
Any ideas on the topics for the presentation.or if you did this, what was your presentation on?

thanks in advance....

Did you do an aptitude test for this competition? If so, was part of it a case study? If yes, your presentation will be based on this.

If not, you will probably be given a scenario in case study format and asked to prepare a presentation on this. It is usually the case that you are given two options, you choose one and give a presentation on it.

In any event there is no need for Powerpoint, it will simply be flipchart and markers. As with any presentation, it is not how flashy your slides are, it is your presentation skills and information being imparted that count. You won't be expected to give the presentation for 45 minutes on the issue either. Usually it is ten or fifteen minutes and you will then be quizzed as to why you said this, that or the other in the presentation.

You will basically be given a sample scenario, asked to decide on an option to recommend and to argue your case and reason for decision to the board. Thats it in a nutshell but I believe the scenarios are quite complex.

Ok I did the interview and presentation and it went very well... The scenario choice is glaringly obvious from the documentation I was given.
Does anyone know how long I could expect to be waiting for the results?
