Looking for some info:

I was was wrongly convicted of having no insurance and fined €400 in district court without my knowledge. The summons was sent to address I have not lived in for 4 years.

I lodged an appeal in district court. The judge adjourned it today until 3 weeks time. He told me to hand over all my documents to arresting guard in meantime.

I did this today and the guard told me that he will get charge struck out at next sitting of district court. However I was led to believe that it had to be sent to circuit cout to get overturned.

Can anyone please advise me?
 
thought about this but cost of solicitor would be same as the €400 fine which galls me as i did nothing wrong-had full insurance and gave correct address to guard
