RAW - can anyone fill me in on series 1?

I watched the first episode of series 2 last night. Not bad but am a bit lost on a few of the characters cos I didn't watch it last time.

I'm not sure how accurate it is as I don't watch it myself but you can get episode by episode here:

From the trailers, I'd be inclined to think that the programme title refers to the level of acting tbh and not in a good way!
