Raisin Withholding tax on deposits Latvia and Slovakia

Hi,
Does anyone have experience with getting withholding tax waived or reduced after the deadline Raisin sets?

I have a deposit and have slightly less than four weeks to go but have only now requested the proof of tax residency from revenue.

Looks like I will be taxed at 19% on my Slovak deposit a/c.

Is there any way around this?

Unless you are DIRT exempt in Ireland, it shouldn’t be a problem - you'll get full credit for foreign tax (up to the DIRT percentage) for offset against DIRT on your Irish tax return.
