Raisin.ie add Aareal Bank AG (DE)

Two years for just 3.3% AER is a long time to have your money potentially locked away. IMO it's a bad deal :-

For early termination of the term deposit after the expiration of the 14-
calendar day revocation period, you should send an electronic request via the
Raisin Bank Platform. Raisin Bank reserves the right to accept or reject each
request on a case-by-case basis and will contact Aareal Bank in this regard.
Raisin Bank accepts a request for early termination only for a reason that is
compelling in the opinion of Raisin Bank
and only for the entire deposit. In
case of early termination by the customer, pro rata interest shall be paid for
the period between account opening and termination. The original deposit
amount including accrued interest will be refunded to the customer’s Raisin
Account within reasonable time.

With a predicted climate of rate cuts, I think the 3.3% for 2 years is a decent rate with a german bank. I have just locked in with some cash I had in a demand account with morrow

Which is the best place from the list below to save regularly and have instant access and is safe
  • N26
  • Trade Republic
  • Lightyear
  • Advanzia
  • Raisin

Raisin whilst it may be instant access it is really all that instant. Money has to transfer from the account back to your raising account which I have heard can take a few days. Then if you want to transfer it out of Raisin that can also take a day or so. I found Advanzia quite cumbersome to set up and use and the rate changes drops quite a lot after 6 months or something like that so not worth the hassle in my opinion. Other than that just go with the best rate.

N26 imo - 2.8% and up to 4% if metal. Credited monthly and decent app. Instant transfer between savings and current account
