Raisin accounts revenue declaration

Quick question: does the obligation to declare freshly opened foreign bank accounts to Revenue apply to every separate bank account opened through Raisin or is it sufficient to only declare the Raisin main account? (I don't mean the interest earned but the mere fact of opening additional accounts)

You must file a Form 11 tax return for any year that you open a foreign bank account.

Hmm, I wasn't aware of this and have not been doing so. Interpreted literally it would include every Revolut user pre Irish IBANs.

Even post-Irish IBANS as Revolut will still be a foreign bank.

If phone boxes still existed, they could use one as a venue.

The salient point is that there’s no sanction or penalty if you don’t disclose the account.
