Radon test kits

I don't know if you can buy such a thing as it needs a period of time to give an accurate reading. I have had radon sump/fan put in years ago and I think I had to do the whole 3 months test thing again, the company had initially installed an air pressure system with the proviso that if it didn't bring down the levels they would do the sump bit.

I vaguely remember that the company that did it might have had something that checked it on the day as just an indication so maybe if you try some of the companies doing this work they might know if such a device exists. Would still recommend the long test though, I did it 3 times in total and even position of the sensors can give very different readings.
 
You can buy cheap kits to expensive electronic meters on Amazon...Some offer instant results, or results within days.
