Are you worried about Radon gas and are you going to get your home tested?

At the moment it costs €50 to have the test results examined. Do you think that the Government should be providing this service for free.
 
Too bloody right they shoudl. Heard about this on the last word last night but yer man never mentioned a fee for the test. typical ireland

I doubt that will happen now. I reckon that there will be a major increase in the number of people have the test done - now that it is all in the news.

They just love to see all that money coming in the door.

I am probably a little cynical but I wonder if it is all a publicity stunt.
 
This has been in the news for a number of years now, no reason to expect any greater impact this time round.

The €50 gets you two detectors which you place in your home for three months. You then send them back to the RPII who analyse them and send you a report.

Electronic testers with continuous readouts are available, but these cost considerably more.
