RAC ReverseSafe Parking AID System with Invisible Sensor and Distance Display

Saw these on offer today @ €46 (alleged discount of 75%). Just wondering if anyone has any experience of these ie. do they work, are they easy to install? I was thinking of getting one for my daughter but am surprised the take up is so low if they are really effective?

Any advice would be appreciated?

Might hold off until it comes around again - I should be able to get some feedback prior to that.
