Rabobank Increases Instant Access Deposit Rate

RaboBank have increased their RaboDirect instant access rate.

Prior to the 2 ECB cuts, Rabo paid 2.40% on all amounts. RaboDirect now pay 3.10% up to 20,000 EUR and then 2.40% after 20,000 EUR.

The rate will be effective until at least April 2012.

I'd guess this is related to recent ratings cut? Either way Rabo will see more deposits because of it.

Yeah a downgrade sweetener !

Worrying though that there doesn't seem to be any "safe" financial institutions.
