Saw this in a magazine and it sounded like a great idea ... basically it's boiling water on tap ... rather than from a kettle. Does anyone have first hand experience that they could relate. Thanks

Well, for one thing - continuously boiling water is terrible for tea/coffee! Only freshly boiled water makes good beverages.

For the perfect cup of tea you should only boil the water once - it has something to do with the the oxygen in it and you are eliminating the oxygen the more you boil it

I'd also imagine that its wasteful of energy, there will always be some heat loss from any system no matter how well insulated so you will be expending additional energy to keep it boiling.

I've used these taps in the states. Would agree with the fact that tea doesn't taste as good and water didn't seem as hot as it would be from a kettle
