Hi all,

2 questions; I’m applying as a single applicant for affordable housing in DLRD council but also want to apply to Dublin City and South County Dublin. I understand that they all require different things some require P60 straight away etc. Has anyone ever done this and if so what was the process? Do I only pay one €50 and fill in one form?

Also on the application for it asks you about saving & how much you have, I have savings of €20000 in a building society but wondering if putting that on the application form with be for or against my favour – these saving plus my salary don’t bring me over or even near the salary cut off.

Any advice much appreciated.

Hi,
Yeah if you fill in the common form for all 4 councils and pay your €50 to whoever you end up posting the form too your €50 covers for all 3 or 4 councils....
For the long-form version (for all 4 councils) you need to give all details of salary, savings etc upfront as far as I remember....
The more savings you have the better mortgage you'll get and the council dont care about any of that when you first apply anyway. As long as you're not earning over 55K you're grand.....you also have to have evidence of being able to save approx €750 a month or something...again I can't really remember as it was about 2 years ago when I applied initially,
Hope some of this helps

You'll have to apply to one council first though because you'll need a copy of the receipt to send to the other councils as proof of payment.

Hi

If you apply by completing the long form(non dcc form), the council which you apply to, will circulate the form to the other councils, if requested.

€20k is likely to be a big help in the application process.
