Question about taxation for married persons

Hi
Wondering can anyone help me as Im pretty useless when it comes to tax. I got married in 2006 still haven't changed tax status. I have the forms here ( Assessable Spouse Election Form) I have just gone on maternity leave so will earn very very little this year so can I transfer my tax credits to my husband?
What amounts should I add to form for Standard Rate Cut Off Point for Husband and myself bearing in mind I will only earn a couple of thousand this year?
Also is there a possibility we are due a tax rebate for last year as I work part time and only earn 16k per year whilst husband earns 40k?
Hope that makes sense
Thanks

Ring Revenue. Give them your pps number, your spouse's pps number, date of marriage and tell them you need a "Year of Marriage review" for 2006 and a balancing statement for 2007 as a married couple. Also ask them to allow him the increased standard rate band for 2008. If you get the right person on the phone they will do it there and then. If not put all info in an email. Will take a few weeks though.
