Hi, I moved to Ireland from the UK 2 years ago. I'm now living and working here and am paying tax etc here. I've got share options in a US company that I'm planning to sell and I'm wondering if I send the gain from selling the options to my UK bank account am I liable for tax in the Republic of Ireland?
I've been talking to the UK inland revenue and they say that I would only be liable to pay tax on any interest accumulated on the gain in the UK, but they couldn't say whether I would be liable to pay tax in the Republic for this sum.
Can anyone help me out on this one?
Thanks,
P
