hiya! this is my first time posting anything so i hope i'm doing it right! my question is a very important one, any help would really be appreciated!
My brother wants to be a guard sometime in the future. While all my family (mam,dad,uncles,aunts,cousins etc) are totally 'clean'- i don't know if my long term boyfriend would be a problem.
He does not have any criminal record (i think?!) but he does have strong connections with a repoublican party- the garda siochana do know him but have not so far, arrested him for anything beacuse he has done nothing illegal- would this affect my brother's chances of getting into the gardaí? i might marry this man so he would be my brother's in- law- do the gardaí check in- law's??
