Hi
We are thinking of booking our first family campsite holiday, staying at Les Genets, Vendee region with Quest en France (uk tour operator). They appear to be great value compared to Keycamp and the like. Has anyone used or heard of this crowd previously (good or bad). Just wondering if there may be some catch!!!

I've had a quick look at their website and their prices, while cheaper than the major tour operators, do no include ferry travel (expensive) and are no less than what you get if you book a French campsite directly. Search for other posts on this subject for details. For example, look at this campsite's prices for 2006:
http://www.camping-moulinkermaux.com/eng/prices_h.html
or even the Quest "Le Bedume" site: http://www.bedume.com/index.html

Les Genets is a 4 star campsite and the two last mentioned are 3 stars.

Whilst there may not be alot in the difference I would prefer to take a 4 star site for a few hundred more.

"Le Bedume" is one of the sites being offered by "Quest en France".
I was simply saying that booking directly with a site (whether 3 or 4 star) is often, thought not always, cheaper than going via an intermediary.
