Hi, can anyone advise what 2 cheques totaling £200 sterling are worth if lodged in euro current account in BOI ? I have a sterling current account in the north I kept since moving south over 10 years ago and use it for limited transactions? the 2 cheques I have are in my husbands name as gifts for our children so I can't lodge in north unless I contact his aunt and ask her to resend new cheques made payable to myself. If the money lost will be minimal its probably not worth annoying her. Just wanted to know what the potential loss would be.
