query regarding TRS

Hi we bought our house in 2005 and lived in it for 2 years, we were 1st time buyers, we then moved abroad and are due to return to Ireland in August.

We stopped receiving TRS when we moved abroad as we were renting the house but i am just wondering are we entitled to claim TRS back now when we return in August as it will be our private principal residence again?
 
Yes - You should be able to unless the rules changed. I did something similar a few years ago and was able to get my entitlements. I just rang the TRS office in Limerick and explained the situation. They will advise you to fill in the online form and they will do the rest. The number is on revenue.ie
