Query about passport...

I am travelling to france early july and am wondering if i will need a new passport. my current passport doesnt run out until November 2009. However i have read that you should have 6 months on your passport. Is this right? Im not sure whether i need to get my passport renewed now or when i come back?

no you'll be fine with your current passport in the EU and most other countries (US if travelling on visa waiver programme) some other countries that require Visas may require the 6 month validity but not France.

one less thing to worry about. (getting married in france, didnt want to turn up to the airport and be sent back - dont think the wife to be would be very happy either)!!
