my wife has been getting Qualified adult allowance payment. She is now over 66 and i see the rate for a non contributory pension is 13 euro weekly more than the Qualified Adult payment.. i know the non contributory is means tested and i think my occupational pension is taken into account whereas such income i think was not taken into account when applying for the Qualified adult payment. any comments would be appreciated
Both payments are means tested but the difference is the QA portion of your pension (which is currently being paid to her) is means tested on HER income only.
Means test for Non Con. pension is based on JOINT income
