Putting money on credit card in states

is the cheapest way of managing money in new york by puttin money on your credit card?? rather than using your bank card does any1 know?

Depends on the card. Some will charge a fee on cash withdrawls even if the account is in credit.

Not long back from states, withdrew cash from current account Perman**t T*B charged €10 approx on a $400 withdrawal. In hindsight sorry that Visa wasn't used for purchases, restaurants etc. and then just pay Visa bill on return. American bank also charged $4.
