purchasing Ugg boots on line

I want to buy a pair of Ugg boots on line costing 99 US€ which seems reasonable enough. Problem is shipping is costing 60 € which is making them very expensive. I am trying to get someone going over to get them for me but failing that is there any way around this? It seems a lot to send boots from US to here………..
 
Can't comment on the UGG boots bit, as they are not my thing, but have bought many shoes from US (from ebay) and usual cost of shipping is $30-38 a pair. $60 does seem reasonable as I'm assuming they are heavier than standard shoes to ship.
 
That's the trouble with purchases from the US - cheap initial price, high postage. Like the previous poster, can't comment on Ugg boots but have bought footwear online before. The US was out, the UK was too dear, so I looked on French and German websites and found the same product - higher price but lower postage meant less overall anyway. Could you do this or is what you want only available in the US?
