I don't know if it is still the case but i got a radio in the states before and they don't work very well here. I think us radio stations are on frequencies that finish with an odd number ie. 102.5 and European ones on evens ie. 102.6 Am frequencies are the same it is impossible to tune in a station exactly . This was a few years ago and things might have changed but look into it before you make your mind up.
