Purchasing A Repossessed House

Hi All,

Without wishing to anger the masses or bring myself to the attention of the Karma gods, but how would one go about getting information on purchasing a repossessed house?
I read an article recently where they were selling them in the UK. The same company (the name escapes me) are apparently looking to move to Ireland.

Anyone got any insights?

My understanding is that they are very few repossessed homes on the market

They will be sold either through the bank to customers of there's (quick sale) or by an estate agent. Either way you wont know if its a repossessed home or not, they don't put up signs informing people.

Someone has to purchase a repossessed house and the quicker and more it's sold for the better it is for the previous owner of the house who would presumable be in a lot of debt. As previous posters said it's not like the UK market.
