purchase of land as a long term investment in Poland

I was wondering if anyone would have any advice about the purchase of land as an investment in Poland or similar.
It would purely be as an investment, and i would be looking for a long term rather than a quick buck.

Re: Polish Property

To give you advice, I would need to know:

What type of "land" are you looking for? Agricultural land or building land? Or something else?

Do you need an income return on it during the investment - or are you just in it for the capital appreciation?

You say "Long term"; do you mean up to 5 years (before Poland joins the euro) - or 6-10 years (after Poland joins the Euro) - or longer? When do you anticipate you will need your money back?

How much involvement are you prepared to take in the management of your investment? Totally hands off? or would you prefer to handle it all yourself (property management, contracts, tax, accounting etc.)

What's your expected return on the invesment? What's the figure you have in your head?

How much risk can you tolerate?

What's you outlook on teh market there generally for the next few years?

DO you see this 2nd cycle occurring in 18 months - 2 years?

If so why?
