Punchestown as a venue for a concert - whats it like?

Thinking about the AC/DC concert this weekend.

I do not know what to expect when I arrive. I appreciate that it will be just general admission, and as such there is the likelihood that there will be plenty of restricted views.

Has anyone been to a big concert there? What is it like?

And what about parking? If you drive where do you leave your car from the stage area itself?

I was at a gig in Punchestown around this time last year and was really impressed with the park and ride facility. We came from Dublin and followed the signs for the park and ride. The parking itself was a good distance from the gig but there were pleny of buses dropping people in - no waiting for buses to fill up or anything. Having been at Slane at the weekend, I look back at Punchestown with fond memories!

We got a spot towards the back, to the right of the stage which was on a bit of a hill, so we had a great view without having to push up the front.
