Pump - Water From Well to House

  • We have a situation where we receive all our water at the house (xcept drinking w.) via a well which is situated down at the bottom of a hill. Therefore, there is a pump placed beside the well which pumps the water via a hose up to a tank whenever we require it . We simply plug it in and it works. We inherited the pump and well situation when we bought the house a few years ago.
Now, the pump has stopped working. It is a neptune jet(Gem) with various other things written on it. Would anyone know how/where to buy a pump like that which will do the same job as efficently as the old one ( no longer being available now)
Thanks.

There are guys that specialise in this equipment. If you don't know any then call the local well drillers and if they don't do it they will tell you who does. You often see them coming up secondhand on buyandsell.ie or donedeal.ie or even free on jumbletown.ie too. Just be aware that sometimes the pipe can detiorate too ( the one going down teh well) and this can cause problems so best to be sure what the actual problem is before you buy a new pump.

there is a company called eco-care technologies. they are based somewhere in meath and they are specialists in this type of senario. I have no affiliation with them in any way.

You may even be able to upgrade at this point whereby you wont have to plug it in and out. This is probably why the pump has broke.
