Puerto Del Carmen - Restaurants.

Just back from our third trip to this resort and I thought I would give my recommendation to fellow members of our favourite restaurants. As a bad meal or night out can put a damper on a holiday I hope that this helps other people enjoy their holiday.
It is hard to find recent reviews of good restaurants in this area and I know everybody has different likes and dislikes but I think that these are better that most of the restaurants. After three visits we have tried a lot of restaurants here.

The best is Quintins - You just have to try it. Top class. http://www.discoverlanzarote.com/quintins.asp

La Cascada Puerto - Heading from the shopping centre to the harbour.

La puerto Viejo - down in the harbour.

Puerto Bahia - at the top of the harbour.

La ola / Cafe la ola beside at the Casino.

I hope this is of some use.

Would agree with you Paul. I have been several times to them all except Quentins.

Have made a promise to self to get there on next visit in November

Very interesting.
We were in PDC about 9 years ago and experienced some great restaurants although I dont recognise any of the ones you mention !
El Tomat I think was one and there was a good french restaurant nearby.
What about Ceoil is Craic ? One of the better irish bars - they had a terrific band on a few times i was there - 3 or 4 lads on guitar doing fantastic U2 covers. Ah the memories....

As a 3-4 times a yr visitor to PdC I must agree with all the above. Puerto Bahia is indeed top class, the others are all very good too, toward the higher end of the PdC restaurant price scale but with quality to match.

La Ola, though well placed on the seaward side of the strip and Lani's "flagship" restaurant is, to my mind, overpriced and oversized. Unless there's a major party going on it always looks mostly empty and lacking in atmosphere.

For the odd night when you don't feel like the above try El Ancla, next to the boules court in the old town harbour. Lots of action, always buzzing and the maitre d' ( whats that in Spanish I wonder ) is a gem. Very reasonable and always enjoyable.
