Was down in Dublin recently at the FAI Cup Final and the pints around the RDS were €5.10. Shocking and glad I don't have to drink in the RoI too often.
As for the argument about Wetherspoons (or Lloyds), I agree that although you get cheap drink in it, I'd rather pay extra to get away from the large no. of 'white trash' that seem to populate it during the day. Any time I pass one at maybe 1 or 2 o'clock it is full of faces that wouldn't look out of place on the Jeremy Kyle Show.
