I was worked in public sector body during 2010 and 2015. Then moved from public sector to private sector in late 2015.

What options now i have?
Can i withdraw ?
If i don't, if i start contributing to private sector will the above public sector pension will be moved?

Any suggestion's much appropriated?

Thanks

You have to wait until you retire to draw down the public service benefits. There is no option to transfer the value of public service benefits.

@Chanakya: Did you work in both years or 2010 through 2015? If you worked less than 2 years, you should have received an option to receive a refund of any superannuation you paid. Did you pay Superannuation, not PRD? It's possible you paid PRD but were not liable to pay Superannuation. In which case, no refund but you will have accrued PRSI contributions which go forward until retirement at 66/67.

I did work from 2010 - 2016 (for my own sins :) ) . I will wait for my retirement age. Thanks for the responses.

First post so be gentle!
I don't know if this is a stupid question but can I claim tax relief on my Pension Related Deductions or is it already claimed automatically?
