Public Sector 1 day strike going ahead?

Does anybody know if this is going ahead on Thursday 3 Dec? Have appointment to go into hospital for minor surgery. Haven't been contacted to say it's cancelled but neither have I heard that the strike is off. Anybody know what's happening? Are they still "in talks"? Thanks.
 
No decision has been made yet. The general feel among civil servants is that it won't but I don't know how reliable that is.
 
Heard something on the radio news a few hours ago talking about "last minute talks today" So nothing definite yet, but by the end of today - or possibly AM tomorrow - we should all know one way or another.
 
It was mentioned on the news that the unions will have to make a decision by this evening because they will have to get organised for the strike.
I know most of my colleagues hope it won't go ahead so hopefully that will be the case.
