For once I am impressed with PTSB Swift transfer.
Instead of the usual bank draft I decided to drop into a branch and invest 31.50€ to do a swift transfer to my Citibank account in the US.
At 1024 I leave the branch with the impression it might take 3-7 working days. At 1445 I log into my Citibank account and find the credit (available to use not provisional).
Looking at the credit details I see, that this is a Global Transfer Service credit meaning that PTSB handed it over to Citi in Ireland and than Citi credits any Citiaccount in real time.
I am for once impressed.
