PtSB quarterly fees

Hi. I can't find what I'm looking for on the net and I've tried ringing PTSB to no avail.
Isn't there a way of avoiding the quarterly fee by maintaining a certain balance in my current account. Is it 2K ....anyone?

You need to maintain €2.5k for the quarter to avoid the fee.

It depends on the type and age of account you have. Older current accounts might have the 2.5K balance rule but the new ones don't - they're €6 a quarter but you can reduce that using a debit card and paying certain utilities.

Yes it's an older current account
