PS3 Latest Firmware ? Weird.

Hi,
PS3 Latest firmware (2.60) has a cool new Photo Gallery feature , the thing is when you load photos etc you have the option to sort the photos .

One of the sort options is by smiles (photos with smiles in them ) , when I selected this sure enough it got about 80% accuracy and filtered out photos with smiley people in em ??? ...How in Gods earth does it do this ?

Really Interested cause I am baffled .

It runs algorithms on the image data looking for patterns and shapes and the relationships between these. Becoming more common now as processing power increases. Some digital cameras now come with face recognition built in so that the focus of the picture can be set more accurately.
