If you are on maternity leave, then take unpaid leave then holidays then go on to sick leave and then maternity leave again. how Would that effect my PRSI contributions. if i was to go back to work after my maternity leave and was let go? or given redundancy? would i be entitled to job seekers allowance?

You only pay PRSI contributions for any week that you earn wages/salary. You get a credited PRSI contirbution for any week that you claim a SW benefit. The PRSI contribution conditions for receipt of Jobseeker's Benefit (not Allowance, that is the means tested scheme when you don't have sufficeint PRSI paid) are laid out in the keypost guide in the redundancy/Jobseeker's forum. Look at that.
