Anybody know what the difference between A1 & J0 contributions are from a welfare benefits point of view?

Just got my P60 for 2007, which states 48 Weeks at Class A1 & 4 Weeks at Class J0 (due to a salary forfeit in one month for a share participation scheme)

Does this has welfare benefit implications?

Thanks in advance

The only Benefits from Class J contributions is Occupational Injuries. As you have 48 contributions in the tax year there should be no problem if you needed to claim a Benefit ie.Illness Benefit or Jobseekers Benefit etc. in 2009. Most Benefits are based on 39 contributions in the governing tax year + other conditions.

The only time I can see that this may affect you is for Pension purposes if you were very scarce on contributions, another 4 might tip the balance.
