My contract is complete with my employer, I am looking into Job Seekers benefit,unfortunately I only have 36 PRSI contributions for 2007. I began employment 03/07 and received 3mths wages in June. 4 PSRI contributions were paid then and continued correctly for the year and throughout 2008(52).The job did not involve working every day and the hours were flexible. Payment was processed on receipt of work completed but the dates/times of work were presented clearly to the employer. If I was earning min e38 per week for the first 8 weeks should my employer have paid 12 PRSI contributions or are they correct to just pay 4 weeks for the month they were processing the first wage payment?
