prsa and occupational pension scheme

i am a teacher and took out a prsa 6 years ago, last year in my tax return i made a tax return for the previous 4 years and in my rebate got "tax relief" for the prsa. This year i did not "recieve" any tax relief for my prsa, saying it was because i had as a teacher i was in an occupational pension scheme? i didn't mention that in my previous tax return that i had recieved a rebate, I'm confused ?, if i had thought this was the case when i was looking into prsa/avcs i would have taken the cornmarket avc. any thoughts?
 
Even if you are in an occ pension scheme you are entitled to open a PRSA, even if you can achieve a maximum occ pension, I was assured. You need to challenge this. I would write to the Inspector of Taxes for your area. Slim
