Property in Thailand

Hi All,
I was wondering if anybody has bought any property in thialand and did they have any problems with this.As im thinking of buying in thailand.

don't know if it has changed but as far as I know a couple of years ago you could not hold sole title to property in Thailand if you were a foreigner.

i heard that you cant purchase property in Thailand if you were a foreigner but there are ways around it .

You cannot own property in Thailand, the ways around this include
1) Take out 99 year lease, there are a number of companies selling properties on this basis.
2) Marry a beautiful Thai women (hopefully it is a women)

A Thai spouse must prove that the finance used to purchase the property is hers and hers alone, with no foreign claim to it.

What you do is set up a company own 49 per cent of the company and set a thai person to own the other 51 per cent of the premises
