Property in Provence

Dear All,
I would like to buy in Provence, near Aix en Provence, south of France. Having looked many times at this market, I have seen that houses in general seem to take up to 12 months to sell, if not more. Also it seems to me that the prices have not come down any with the economic situation that we are all in. Can anyone explain to me how the French property market is not being affected?

French Property is being affected but less so than in other countries, try to get concrete figures for the area that you want to buy in before buying or selling.
French banks are much more careful about lending money and so France is not experiencing as dramatic a change as other countries at the moment. Prices are stable in South of France and still rising in Paris.
