property boundary how to determine

how can i find out exactly where the boundary line for my property is.have trees that need to be cut however there is fence, trees then neighbours fence then their trees which are fine.is ordance survey map accurate? is their such thing as builders waste land.what if ordance survey lands boundary in middle of trees?

1. Look at your deeds.
2. Talk to neighbour.
3.If at all possible , reach compromise with neighbours before doing works on boundary.

What mf said. OSI maps are quite often inaccurate, and any problem with boundaries is a civil matter, ie between you and your neighbour(s).
