Property and SSA pension

Hi

Myself and my wife have separate properties that we currently rent out while we rent a separate house. As both of our houses are in negative equity we intend to sell both of our current houses with the aim of getting a joint mortgage to buy a family house between us.

I have a company and have a SSA pension scheme. I would have enough in my pension to buy my current house and rent it as part of my pension arrangements. Is this possible ?

I have been advised that I can buy my current house through my pension but I can buy the house next door if that became available .. This seems unfair to me ?

Can someone please clarify what the current rules are with this.
