Agents and developers wishing to maximise their exposure to the Irish market - Email Diarmaid for details of the Agency Package - you can't afford to be without it!

Taken direct from the site in question. I wasn't sure before but I remembered reading an article where there was a direct reference to FOPDAC and how their members were trustworthy, yet one Irish member was continuing to sell certain property overseas, despite numerous warnings, that had even been turned down by local agents. If you pay the membership fee, you join.

An ombudsman is in place to give free advice, I've yet to meet an advisor who hasn't got some link to industry (esp in property) that cannot but slant their judgement, even with the best will in the world.

I won't labour the point, as we are going to disagree anyway, but an ombudsman invstigates complaints, they don't dispense free advice.

yes this thread is veering away from what i originally posted. it is relavent where i bought the property. what i was originally asking was about diarmaid condon..............

It would appear you got your answer to this one Viz. Not many people know of him but those who do seem to think he's ok.

The research part of his site has a link to Askaboutmoney so it can't be all bad I guess.

I'd still like to know where you invested and why he's against it, you've piqued my inquisitive nature now.

well spotted mr. gekko, but unfortunatley it is not this property. as a reward for finding my other message i can tell you that the property was in st. lucia!

...only thing is, they advise on travel & tourism destinations, not property speculation opportunities. There (still) is a difference!

To whom it concerns,

I can categorically state that I have never had a consultancy with Viztopia whoever he, or she, may be. The reason I can say this with some certainty is that I have never advised anyone who came to me in a consultancy capacity to sell a property there, nor have I ever advised against purchasing on this wonderful Caribbean island.

I feel Viztopia may be stirring the pot as I have written on the Sapphire Cove project in St. Lucia on several occasions because I have a number of genuine queries about the management of this project which have never been satisfactorily addressed by its promoters, Kilcarbery Limited.

I hope this will put Viztopia's comments in perspective and perhaps clear up any misunderstandings which may be perpetuated by them.

Best regards,
