Process Mapping

I have a process which I want to describe graphically and I am looking for a free (or v. cheap) tool that will allow me to model it. Something that is a trimmed down version of visio, i.e. it can be fairly basic. I want to represent people/roles, processes, decisions etc. Preferrably it should be easy to learn also as this is a one-off project.

If you have Excel, there's process flowchart shapes in Autoshapes on Drawing Toolbar.

OpenOffice is free and includes a Visio style drawing package. There are a few other free or cheap drawing/charting packages listed [broken link removed] too in case that's of any use.
