Proceeds of Sale Delay by Solicitor

Hi there

Sale of my property closed last week. Solicitor has been paid, EA has been paid, Buyer has keys. The solicitor was waiting for the balance of the booking deposit from the EA to pay across the proceeds of the sale of the property to me. My understanding from the EA is that this was paid to the solicitor and should have been received by the solicitor I have been very polite in my dealings with my solicitor and have simply looked for an update by email each day. I am receiving no replies and I am now anxious to avoid further delays. Can I do anything ?Any advice appreciated.

Give your solicitor a chance. Your problem is not of their making.

So what your saying is that monies in connection to sale of property were finalized yesterday with EA sending balance across to solicitor yesterday.
Your unhappy that the solicitor has not now finalized everything in less than 24hrs.

New readers may be puzzled by my own and @KOW 's responses to the opening post.

This is because the OP has since edited it to omit mention that the solicitor only yesterday received the balance of the booking deposit from the EA.

Why did they do that
