I have a manual push lawnmover now for a few years - Qualcast Panther
The main problem is that the wheels slide on the grass and the blades "skip" - I have dismantled and there is wear on the plastic cogs and the metal pins that fit inside the cogs
I have had it serviced a couple of times (and asked the service guy to look at the problem) but havent noticed any huge improvement in performance. I also got new pins and got old cogs from an old mower.
Our garden is a fair size suburban garden, not countryside 0.5 acre; I am reluctant to get a petrol/electric mower but am spending 5 mins scratching my head for every minute of cutting.
I don't recall these problems "back in the day" in my parents house - is there a solution - oil/service more often? new cogs/pins?
