Hello all.

I am unfortunate to be the owner of a 4 bed semi detatched home in the midlands. I am fortunate not to have to live there and have been renting it out (when I can). In March 2004, I closed the sale on this disaster.

Since then, I have had nothing but problems with it.
  • Plumbing issues - leaking shower tray, pipes, pump, gas boiler.
  • The oudside plasterwork began to crack and chip away from the house. Fortunately, I managed to have Homebond remedy this problem.
  • The estate is unfinished. The roadways are about 4-5 inches down from the manholes and the driveway entrances. Curbing is missing, my footpaths are cracking. The whole place is in a state of general disrepair.
The latest saga happened last night when, the occupier, his wife and infant had to vacate the main bedroom. This was due to smoke escaping from the chimney column and into the room. Luckily for him, he noticed it in time and vacated the room. I dont want to dwell on what could have happened, especially with a young infant sleeping in the room.

I know that the above story could be recounted in almost every town and village in the country and is in no way unique.
genuinely considering taking legal action against the builder/developer. I am keen to learn has anyone out there taken a similiar course of action. I f so, has it been successful or not so. I would love to hear.

At the most basic level, the way I see it is; I bought a product that does'nt match it's description. I would love ( like most of the people who bought in the last 5-7 yrs) to reverse the sale.

I look forward to any feedback.
