Problem with my Bank

I've had horendous problems with First Active and as a result of a complaint to the Ombudsman, my three accounts were closed and I was give €500 compensation for the trouble.

First Active now say I received a duplicate payment (€348) in January and requested me to repay it. Yesterday I received a reminder letter requesting payment by 18th June.

Can they chase me for this?

I did receive 2 payments, but the bank has still not detailed several payments taken for two mortgage accounts that were fully redeemed in December.

I requested the bank to close my account in January and forward the balance by cheque. As they complied with my request should I consider the matter closed?
