problem with Mira Elite shower

happ new year to everyone on the site , hopefully a easy question to start the new year.

our mira elite shower which is quite old and we will be replacing and upgrading bathroom shortly seems to have packed in.

when I turn on the shower the cold water comes out fine when i move the temp up the water comes out boiling/scalding and the overheating light flashes, also the power light is flashing.

it seems the power is gone from it as the sound is not the same as it was the last week.

looking online it seems a regular problem and could be that the shower filters need to be cleaned out? or could it be linked to our bolier hot water settings?

any advice would be appreciated?

model type is Mira elite installed 1997 :eek:..
 
Hi,

Did you have a look through previous threads? They might give you some advice as this question appears to pop up every so often.

P.S. If you run the search option yourself in this forum you should get a smaller number of threads to check through.
 
thanks sue ellen for the reply. it seems like it has jsut packed in compeltley now.previous owneres must not of used it often and it is 13 years old.

have to get someone in to fit anew Mira.

Mira Play 9.5 KW Electric Shower from argos is half price.


was 300 now is 150 - any advice or recommendations on a new mira appreciated? not looking for a major one just one to get us through the next few years at a affordable price.thanks
 
The [broken link removed] on Argos seem good. At that price you should reserve it at your local branch a.s.a.p. as it will probably sell out quickly.

Are you sure that its the same type of shower i.e. pumped or not.
