Why so many queries are being posted to the insurance forums? What is the problem actually facing/happening with the insured people? Is it the awareness problem that they don't know what to do with the situation or they are not well informed about the laws and regulations of insurance of the respective states?

Insurance law and practice is complex. It can be quite daunting for the inexperienced.

not only is the law and practice confusing, but most people do not even read the policy. Most pick policy on price, not on cover, terms and conditions. Many assume that the 'new' policy will give the same cover as the 'old' one. It may not. One policy may give Driving Other Cars extension, another may not. one may give temporary increase in contents if a family wedding, another may not. then to cap it all, the 'bar room' lawyer causes even more problems, telling what should be covered and assuring that something is covered, when it may not.
